Fresh vs Used Gmail Accounts: Which Type to Buy?
OTPGmail sells two types of short-lived Gmail account, and they work quite differently. The used on a few services type is built for a desktop browser. It comes with a quick login link or login cookies, and with cookies you can even read the inbox on your order page. The fresh type has not been used to sign up anywhere yet. It comes with only an email and a password, and you sign in through the Gmail app.
Short answer: choose used when you want to get into the inbox fast from a computer. Choose fresh when you want an account with no sign-ups on it yet, or when you work from a phone. Both are real @gmail.com accounts that you buy outright, both are short-lived, and both carry the same first sign-in warranty.
The two types at a glance
| Used on a few services | Fresh | |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-up history | Already used to sign up on a few sites | Not used to sign up anywhere yet |
| What you receive | Email, password, a recovery email (it may be empty), plus a quick login link or login cookies, depending on the batch | Email and password only, no recovery email |
| How you sign in | Desktop browser: open the link, import the cookies, or type the email and password | The Gmail app, with the email and password |
| Read emails on your order page | Yes, with "Read inbox" on cookie deliveries | No, you sign in to read |
| Warranty | First sign-in within 2 hours of purchase | The same, and changing the password, recovery email or phone number also counts as accepting the account |
How the used type signs you in
Each batch of the used type comes in one of two forms. You cannot choose the form. Your order page shows what you received, with buttons to copy each field.
With a quick login link. Open the link in a desktop browser and wait about 10 seconds. The account signs itself in. Each link works about 2 to 3 times, and opening it again and again in a short time can trigger a short block. So open it once, finish your task, and do not test the link in several tabs. Our quick login link tutorial shows each step.
With login cookies. Sign in with the email and password, or import the cookies into your browser with a cookie editor extension to go straight in. You can also skip signing in completely. Press "Read inbox" on your order page to see the 10 newest emails sent to the account. That is handy when all you need is one email from a site. A "Check if alive" button tells you whether the account still works.
How the fresh type signs you in
The fresh type is simple. You get an email address and a password, nothing else. There is no recovery email and no login link. Open the Gmail app on your phone, choose to add an account, and sign in with those details.
One rule matters here. For the fresh type, changing the password, the recovery email or the phone number counts as accepting the account, the same as a successful sign-in. After that, the warranty is used up. So sign in first, check that the account works for your task, and only then change anything.
Which type suits your task
| Your task | Choose | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Read one verification email or link, from a computer | Used | Read inbox or a quick link gets you there fastest |
| Test "Sign in with Google" on a website in a desktop browser | Used | It is built for desktop browser sign-in |
| Work from a phone | Fresh | It signs in through the Gmail app |
| Use an account with no sign-ups on other sites yet | Fresh | It has not been used to sign up anywhere |
| Not sure, and speed matters | Used | Fewer steps between buying and reading mail |
If both types are sold out, check back later. Stock goes up and down. If you only need a code for a sign-up, renting an inbox is the simpler choice anyway. With a rented inbox, the code shows on your order page. If none arrives within the waiting time (25 minutes at most), you get a 100% refund.
Rules that apply to both types
- Delivery: within seconds to a few minutes. Larger orders arrive step by step, and you can copy everything or download a .txt file.
- Lifetime: short, and it depends on the type. Read each type's description on the buy page and use the account right away.
- Warranty: only your first sign-in within 2 hours of purchase. If it fails, contact support with your order ID. You get another account or a refund to your balance, depending on stock. A lock after a successful first sign-in is not covered. The first-login warranty guide has the details.
- Short deliveries: if fewer accounts arrive than you paid for, the missing part is refunded to your balance automatically.
- Captchas: Google is tightening captcha checks on short-lived accounts, and OTPGmail does not solve them. If your tool cannot handle a captcha, do not buy.
- Fair use: use the accounts for legitimate work such as testing, QA or a short project inbox. Follow Google's terms and the terms of every site you sign up to.

Frequently asked questions
Which is better, a fresh or a used Gmail account?
Neither is better in general. Used is faster to get into from a computer, and its cookie version lets you read the inbox without signing in. Fresh suits phone users and tasks where the account should not have sign-ups on other sites yet.
Can I choose between a login link and cookies?
No. Each batch of the used type comes with one or the other. Your order page shows which one you received.
Does a fresh account come with a recovery email?
No. The fresh type comes with an email address and a password only.
Can I sign in to a used account on my phone?
The used type is built for desktop browser sign-in, and quick login links should be opened in a desktop browser. If you need to work from a phone, the fresh type is the better fit.
What counts as a successful first sign-in?
Getting into the account with the details you received. For the fresh type, changing the password, recovery email or phone number also counts. After either one, the warranty ends.
