Vinted Sign Up With Email: Get the Verification Code
Vinted gives you four ways to create an account: with an email address, or with Google, Facebook or Apple. This guide covers the first one, the email route. You type an address into Vinted's sign-up form, Vinted sends a 6-digit verification code to it (sometimes a message with a button instead), and you enter the code to confirm the account.
You can use any address you can read. If you would rather not use your main inbox, OTPGmail rents real @gmail.com and @icloud.com inboxes for this step: you paste the rented address into Vinted and read the code on your order page, without signing in to any mailbox. No code within 25 minutes means an automatic cancel and a 100% refund to your balance.
What Vinted sends, and when
Once you submit the sign-up form, Vinted emails the address. In OTPGmail's Vinted orders that email usually carries a 6-digit code to type into the app or website; some carry a button instead, and on a rented inbox its link shows on your order page too.
Worth knowing before you start:
- Seven days to confirm. Vinted asks every member to verify their email within seven days of signing up, or the account is not created. With the code on your order page, you do it right away.
- Resending. If the email never came, or you closed the screen too early, ask for it again under Settings → Security → Send confirmation email.
- One code at a time. A code works once and expires, and a new request can replace the previous code. Ask once, then wait a few minutes before you press resend.
- SMS is a separate step. Vinted may ask some accounts to confirm a phone number by SMS. OTPGmail rents no numbers and receives no SMS, so use your own number there.
Step by step: renting an inbox for Vinted
From the OTPGmail rent page to a confirmed Vinted account:
- Open the rent page. Go to OTPGmail and log in. Under "Service", type Vinted in the search box and pick it from the list.
- Choose the inbox type. Under "Inbox type", pick Gmail (@gmail.com) or iCloud (@icloud.com). The next section explains which one to try first. Read the rules shown for the inbox: they say how many emails it can receive, for how long, and how cancelling works.
- Press "Rent now". Your balance is charged only when an inbox is issued. The new order appears under "Recent orders" with the address and the status "Waiting for code".
- Start the sign-up on Vinted. In the Vinted app or on the website, choose to register with your email, not with Google, Facebook or Apple. Copy the rented address from your order card, paste it into the email field, fill in the rest of the form and submit.
- Wait on the order page. It refreshes by itself. When Vinted's email lands, the 6-digit code appears on the order card. Press it to copy it. If the email holds a button rather than a code, open the link from the order card, or use "View email" to read the full message.
- Enter the code in Vinted. Do it straight away, because the code expires. Your email is now confirmed.
If nothing arrives, check the pasted address first (one missing character sends the email elsewhere), then ask Vinted to resend once. After a first code, a "Get new code" button, where the order shows one, asks for the next email on the same inbox. Before the first code you can cancel for a full refund where the inbox rules allow it, and an order that receives nothing in time refunds itself.
The Vinted inbox page lists the current price, stock and code rules for this service before you rent.
Gmail or iCloud for Vinted?
Both are real mailboxes, and Vinted sends its code to both. In practice, lately iCloud inboxes have received Vinted's code more often than Gmail ones, so iCloud is a sensible first choice. If a Gmail order times out and refunds, switch to iCloud for the next attempt rather than repeating the same inbox type.
Over the last 30 days, 45% of Vinted orders on OTPGmail received the email. The figure is updated automatically and is not a promise. A miss costs time, not money: an order without a code is cancelled and refunded in full.
On price, a Vinted inbox costs $0.041 (1,050 VND) for Gmail and $0.025 (650 VND) for iCloud, both updated live; stock for each type shows on the rent page.
Keeping the account after sign-up
A rented inbox receives mail only during the order period. Vinted, on the other hand, keeps writing to the address on your account: order updates, messages from buyers, security notices. So if you plan to keep the account, change its email while you still have access to the rented one.
Go to Settings → Account settings in Vinted and enter the address you will keep. Vinted first sends a confirmation to the current address, which here is your rented inbox, so the confirmation shows on your OTPGmail order page. Confirm it, then confirm the new address from your own mailbox. Doing it right after sign-up, while the order is still open, is simplest.
A few of Vinted's own rules apply whichever email you use:
- One account per person. Vinted's terms allow one standard account per member.
- Businesses use Vinted Pro. Sole traders, companies and non-profits sell through Vinted Pro, which has its own terms.
- Where Vinted works. Vinted runs in the UK, Ireland and much of Europe, and is opening in the US. If your country is not on its list, no email address changes that.
OTPGmail does not help with second accounts, suspended accounts or account sales. Follow Vinted's terms; OTPGmail is not responsible for misuse.
Email and code or Continue with Google?
Vinted's email route and its Google button need different things, and OTPGmail has a product for each.
| Email and code | Continue with Google | |
|---|---|---|
| What Vinted needs | An address that can receive its email | A Google account you can sign in to |
| What OTPGmail offers | A rented Gmail or iCloud inbox; the code shows on your order page | A short-lived Gmail you buy, delivered with its password |
| Where to get it | The rent page | The buy page |
| If you keep the account | Change the email while the order receives mail | Move the account to an email you keep while the Gmail works |
A rented inbox has no password, so it cannot be used with the Google button. For that route, buy a short-lived Gmail: the buy Gmail accounts overview explains what is delivered, and Vinted sign up with Google: which Gmail you need walks through the Google route on Vinted. A bought Gmail lasts a short time that depends on its type, so sign in to Vinted right after delivery.
Frequently asked questions
Why didn't I get Vinted's verification code?
Usually a typo in the address, a resend that replaced the first code, or an email still on its way. Check the address on your order card, ask Vinted to resend once from Settings → Security → Send confirmation email, and wait. With no code within 25 minutes, the order refunds itself; try again with an iCloud inbox.
Is it a code or a link?
Usually a 6-digit code that you type into Vinted. Sometimes Vinted sends a message with a button; on a rented inbox, the link shows on your order page too. A code sent by SMS is Vinted's phone check, which OTPGmail does not receive.
Can I use the rented address with Continue with Google?
No. Continue with Google needs a Google account you can sign in to, and a rented inbox has no password. For that button, buy a short-lived Gmail on the buy page instead.
Can I change the email on my Vinted account later?
Yes, under Settings → Account settings. Vinted sends the first confirmation to the current address, so make the change while your rented inbox still receives mail, ideally right after you sign up.
