Rent a Gmail or iCloud inbox for the Vinted verification email

Vinted asks every member to confirm their email address. How does Vinted send verification codes?

Vinted's email check usually arrives as a 6-digit code. It works once and expires quickly, so type it into Vinted as soon as it shows on your order page. Some Vinted emails carry a Verify button instead of a code; Vinted's help centre describes that version. On a rented inbox, either form appears on your order page. If Vinted has not sent anything yet, ask for it under Settings → Security → Send confirmation email.

Vinted's terms ask members to verify their email within seven days, or the account is not created; with the code on your order page, that is done right away. After sign-up, Vinted keeps sending order, message and security emails to the address on the account. To change that address later, Vinted first sends a confirmation to the current one. How to get your Vinted verification code with a rented inbox

1. On Vinted, choose to sign up with your email address, not with Google, Facebook or Apple.

3. Paste the rented address into Vinted's email field, finish the form and submit.
4. Watch your order page. The system waits 25 minutes at most; with no email by then, the order is cancelled and refunded.
5. Type the 6-digit code into Vinted straight away, or, if the email has a button, open its link from your order page.
6. Keeping the account? Move it to a permanent address of your own under Settings → Account settings. Vinted sends the first confirmation to the current address, so do it while your order still receives mail; without that access, Vinted asks for an ID document and a selfie.

Tips for using a rented inbox with Vinted

• Ask for one email, then wait. The rental page shows how many emails one inbox can receive and for how long. Ask Vinted to resend only after a few minutes.
• No email after 25 minutes? The order refunds itself. You can rent a new address and try again; lately iCloud inboxes have received Vinted's code more often than Gmail ones, so switching to iCloud is worth a try. You can also confirm with an address of your own.
• The phone step is yours. If Vinted asks you to confirm a phone number, use your own. OTPGmail does not rent numbers or receive SMS.
• One account per person. Vinted's terms allow one personal account per member; businesses use Vinted Pro. OTPGmail does not help with second accounts, suspended accounts or account sales, and is not responsible for misuse.
