Sign In With Google Needs a Gmail You Can Log In To
Many sites now put a "Continue with Google" or "Sign in with Google" button above the sign-up form. It saves typing, but it changes what you need. The site no longer asks you for an email address and a code. It asks Google who you are. So you need a Google account you can actually sign in to.
This is the moment when people search for "rent gmail login" or "rent mail login". This guide explains why renting cannot give you a login, and what can.
Short answer: a login needs an account you can open. Use your own Google account, or buy a short-lived Gmail account that comes with its password. A rented OTPGmail inbox has no password, and nobody can sign in to it. It only shows the code or link a site sends to that address.
What the Google button needs
When you press the button, Google opens a window. You pick an account, sign in if you are not signed in already, and agree to share basic details such as your name and email address. The site then creates or opens your account using that Google identity.
Three points follow from this:
- You must be able to sign in to the Google account. Knowing the address is not enough. Google checks the password, not the site.
- It does not have to be a Gmail address. Google lets you create a Google account with an email address you already have. That account works with the button too.
- The site account depends on the Google account. If the Google account is locked later, the button stops working for that site.
"Rent Gmail login": why renting cannot do it
Renting an inbox on OTPGmail gives you a real @gmail.com or @icloud.com address for a short time. You paste it into a sign-up form, and the code or link the site sends appears on your order page. If no code arrives within the waiting time (25 minutes at most), the order cancels itself with a 100% refund.
What you do not get is a password. You never sign in to the rented inbox, and nobody else does either. That makes renting a good fit for sign-ups that use an email address plus a code. It makes it useless for the Google button. You cannot rent a Gmail login: a login is something you hold yourself, even if only for a few hours.
So when a site offers both "Continue with Google" and a normal email form, a rented inbox works with the form. When a site offers only the Google button, you need an account you can open.
Which option fits your task
| Your task | Best option | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A site only needs a code or link sent to an email | A rented inbox (Gmail rental) | Cheaper, and refunded if no code arrives |
| Press "Continue with Google" on a site | Your own Google account, or a bought short-lived Gmail | You need an account you can sign in to |
| Read the mailbox yourself, not only one code | A bought short-lived Gmail | It comes with a password |
| Keep using the site account for months | Your own Google account | You control its phone number and recovery |
Short-lived Gmail accounts you can buy
A short-lived Gmail account is a real @gmail.com account that you buy outright. The buy Gmail accounts overview describes the product in full. Each account arrives within seconds to a few minutes with its email and password. There are two types:
- Used on a few services: depending on the batch, it comes with a recovery email and a quick login link, or with login cookies and a "Read inbox" button. The link opens the account in a desktop browser after about 10 seconds, and each link works about 2–3 times. The quick login link tutorial shows each step. This type suits a Google button on a website opened in a computer browser.
- Fresh, never used on any service: email and password only, with no recovery email. You sign in through the Gmail app on a phone. Its stock is shown on the buy page.
Lifetimes are short and depend on the type, from tens of minutes to a few hours. Each type's description on the buy page says what to expect.
Before you press the button with a bought account
- Sign in right after you buy. The warranty covers only your first successful sign-in within 2 hours of purchase. If it fails, write to support with your order ID for a replacement account or a balance refund, depending on stock. Locks that happen after you got in are not covered. For the fresh type, changing the password, recovery email or phone number counts as accepting the account.
- Do not tie anything lasting to it. A site account created through a short-lived Gmail is only as durable as that Gmail. If the site lets you add your own email and a password afterwards, and its help pages say how, do that straight away. If it does not, use your own Google account for anything you want to keep.
- Expect checks from Google. Google asks short-lived accounts for captchas more and more often. OTPGmail does not solve them, so skip buying if your tool cannot handle a captcha.
- Use it for legitimate work. Testing your own app's Google sign-in, QA, or a short project are typical uses. Each site's terms apply, including any limit on how many accounts one person may hold.
Sites with a Google button
The button appears on many sites, for example ChatGPT, TikTok and Vinted. Each site decides how it uses Google sign-in and what it requires from your account. OTPGmail cannot promise that a given site accepts a given account. Some apps, such as WhatsApp, are built on a phone number instead, so a Gmail account does not help there.
For Vinted in particular, read Vinted sign up with Google: which Gmail you need. It shows how a bought Gmail works with Vinted's "Continue with Google" button and how to move the account to an email you keep. If you would rather use Vinted's email form, a rented inbox receives its 6-digit code: see Vinted sign up with email and a code.

Frequently asked questions
Can I rent a Gmail and log in with it?
No. A rented inbox has no password, and you never sign in to it. It shows the codes and links sent to the address on your order page. For a login, buy a short-lived Gmail account or use your own.
Does Sign in with Google need a Gmail address?
It needs a Google account. That can be a Gmail address, or an email address you already have that you used to create a Google account.
Can I use a bought Gmail account for Continue with Google?
Yes, while it lasts. Sign in to it first, then press the button and choose that account. Lifetimes are short, so finish the task in the same session.
What happens to my site account if the Gmail gets locked?
The Google button stops working for that site. That is why anything you want to keep belongs on your own Google account, or on a login the site lets you add yourself.
Is renting cheaper than buying?
Yes, one rented inbox costs less. But it gives you a code, not a login. The rent vs buy comparison covers the difference in detail.
