Sign In to a Bought Gmail: Gmail App or Cookies
You bought a short-lived Gmail account, and your order page now shows a line of details. How you sign in depends on what that line contains. This guide covers the two paths that the quick login link tutorial does not: the Gmail app and login cookies.
Short answer: received only an email and a password? That is the fresh type: add it in the Gmail app on your phone. Received cookies and a "Read inbox" button? Sign in on a computer with the password or the cookies, or simply read the mail on your order page. Received a link? Follow the link tutorial. Whichever it is, do it right after you buy: the warranty covers only your first successful sign-in within 2 hours of purchase.
Check what you received
| What your order shows | Account type | How to sign in |
|---|---|---|
| Email and password only | Fresh | The Gmail app on a phone (path A) |
| Email, password, recovery email (may be empty), cookies and a "Read inbox" button | Used, cookie batch | A desktop browser with the password or the cookies, or Read inbox (path B) |
| Email, password, recovery email and a quick login link | Used, link batch | A desktop browser: open the link (path C) |
You cannot choose between cookies and a link when you buy. Each batch of the used type comes with one or the other, and your order page shows which.
Path A: the fresh type in the Gmail app
The fresh type is built for the Gmail app. It has no recovery email and no login link, so the app is the way in.
- Install the Gmail app if your phone does not have it, then open it.
- Tap your profile picture or initial in the top right corner.
- Tap Add another account, then choose Google.
- Type the email address from your order and tap Next. Then type the password and tap Next again.
- Accept Google's terms if the app asks.
What you should see: the new address appears in the app's account list, and its inbox opens. On a phone with no Google account yet, the app may ask you to add an account straight away; the steps after that are the same.
One rule matters here. Do not change the password, recovery email or phone number until you have checked that the account does what you need. For the fresh type, any of those changes counts as accepting the account, which ends the warranty.
Path B: the used type with login cookies
Cookie batches give you three ways in. Pick the one that matches your task.
1. Email and password in a browser. Open Gmail in a desktop browser, choose to sign in, and type the email and password from your order.
2. Import the cookies. Cookies are the saved session of a browser that is already signed in. Importing them opens the account without typing the password.
- Use a browser profile that you keep only for this account, so the session does not mix with your own.
- Install a cookie editor extension. The order page names Cookie-Editor as an example.
- On your order page, press Copy cookies for the account.
- Open google.com, open the extension and use its Import option to paste the cookies.
- Open Gmail in the same tab.
What you should see: the inbox opens without a password prompt. If you land on a sign-in page instead, use the email and password.
3. Skip signing in: Read inbox. If you only need one email that a site sent, press Read inbox on your order page. It reads recent emails sent to the account for you, with no Gmail sign-in, so you can copy a code or open a link. Check if alive tells you whether the account still works.
Path C: accounts that came with a link
Some used batches ship a quick login link instead of cookies. Open it in a desktop browser and wait about 10 seconds. Each link works about 2–3 times, and opening it again and again can trigger a temporary block. The quick login link tutorial shows each step with a video.
Treat cookies like a password
Cookies are a working key to the account: anyone who has them can open it.
- Do not paste them into websites, chats or tools you do not trust.
- Import them only into a browser profile you control.
- When the job is done, delete that profile, the copied cookies and any .txt file you downloaded.
Use bought accounts for your own testing, QA or a short project. Follow Google's terms and the terms of each site you use the account with, and never use the account for unsolicited messages.
When the first sign-in does not go through
Google may ask a short-lived account for a captcha or an extra check. Complete it yourself: OTPGmail does not solve captchas, and captchas are outside the warranty. If the password, cookies or app still do not let you in within 2 hours of purchase, contact support with your order ID. You get a replacement account or a refund to your balance, depending on stock. A lock after a successful first sign-in is not covered.
For the usual causes of a failed sign-in, see bought Gmail account not working or locked. The first-login warranty guide covers the edge cases, and our fresh vs used guide helps with your next purchase. You can buy on the Buy short-lived Gmail tab.
Frequently asked questions
Can I sign in to the fresh type in a computer browser?
The fresh type is built for the Gmail app on a phone, so use the app as shown in path A. It has no link and no cookies to help a browser sign-in.
Which cookie extension should I use?
The order page names Cookie-Editor as an example. Whatever you choose, install it from your browser's official extension store and use it in a profile you keep for this account.
Can I use the cookies on my phone?
Cookie batches are built for a desktop browser. On a phone, use Read inbox on your order page, or sign in with the email and password.
Does Read inbox need the password?
No. The button reads recent emails for you on the order page, with no Gmail sign-in. It is the quickest way to get one email from a site.
When does the warranty window start?
At the moment of purchase, not when you first try to sign in. That is why the first sign-in should happen right away.
