Bought Gmail Account Not Working or Locked? Next Steps
A bought Gmail account that refuses to sign in is stressful, especially with the warranty clock running. This page is a checklist for that moment. It covers the usual causes, when the first-login warranty applies, what to send to support, and what is not covered.
Short answer: if you have never signed in successfully and less than 2 hours have passed since you bought, run the checks below, then contact support with your order ID. You get a replacement account or a refund to your balance, depending on stock. If the account worked and was locked or disabled later, that is outside the warranty, and only Google decides whether to restore it.
Which situation are you in?
| Situation | Covered? | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The first sign-in fails, less than 2 hours after purchase | Yes | Run the checks below, then contact support |
| The first sign-in worked; the account was locked or disabled later | No | It is between you and Google |
| You never tried, and more than 2 hours have passed | No | The window is counted from purchase |
| Fewer accounts were delivered than you paid for | Refunded automatically | Nothing to claim |
| The purchase could not be completed | Refunded automatically | Nothing to claim |
Check these first
Many failed sign-ins have a simple cause. Go through this list before you write to support.
- Copy errors. Copy the email and password again with the copy buttons on your order page. A missing or extra character is the most common slip.
- The wrong method for the type. The fresh type signs in through the Gmail app on a phone. The used type is built for a desktop browser.
- A login link that is used up. Each quick login link works about 2–3 times and should be opened in a desktop browser. Opening it again and again in a short time can trigger a temporary block. The quick login link tutorial shows the right way.
- Cookies in the wrong place. Import them into the browser profile you are actually using, then open Gmail in the same tab. Or sign in with the email and password instead.
- A check from Google. Google may ask a short-lived account for a captcha or an extra check. Complete it yourself: OTPGmail does not solve captchas, and a captcha your tool cannot pass is not covered by the warranty. If the password, link or cookies still fail after the check, that is a failed first sign-in.
Our guide to signing in with the Gmail app or cookies shows each path step by step.
When to contact support, and what to send
Contact support if the first sign-in still fails and you are inside the 2-hour window. Use the contact page and include:
- your order ID and the account email;
- what happened, with a screenshot of the message you saw, if there is one;
- roughly when you tried.
The result is a replacement account or a refund to your balance, depending on stock. Refunds go to your OTPGmail balance; the balance is used inside OTPGmail and is not paid out as cash. Support answers during business hours, Vietnam time (GMT+7), so send everything in your first message.
What the warranty does not cover
- A lock after a successful first sign-in, even minutes later. The account was delivered working.
- Changes on the fresh type. Changing the password, recovery email or phone number counts as accepting the account.
- A link used past its 2–3 sign-ins, or opened too often in a short time.
- A captcha you cannot pass. Google sets these checks, and OTPGmail does not solve them.
- A first attempt after the window has closed. The clock starts at purchase, not at your first try.
- Misuse. An account flagged because of what it was used for, such as unsolicited messages, is not a warranty case.
The first-login warranty guide explains why the line is drawn at the first sign-in.
"How do I unlock a bought Gmail account?"
Honestly, in most cases you cannot. Google's own account recovery page is the only proper route. It asks for things like the recovery email or the phone number on the account, and on a bought account those are rarely yours. OTPGmail cannot unlock accounts and does not offer workarounds for Google's checks.
Treat a locked short-lived account as the end of its life. That is why the advice never changes: lifetimes are short, from tens of minutes to a few hours depending on the type, so do your task in the first session. If your plan needs an account that lasts, a bought account is the wrong tool. Our page on whether it is safe to buy a Gmail account covers those risks, and the buy Gmail accounts overview explains what each type includes.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a bought Gmail account stay locked?
There is no fixed time. Google decides whether and when to restore access, and it may never do so. OTPGmail cannot speed it up.
My bought Gmail account is not working in Outlook or on my iPhone. Why?
Other mail apps and new devices can bring extra checks from Google. Sign in the way your account type is built for: the Gmail app for the fresh type, a desktop browser for the used type.
Is a replacement guaranteed?
Only inside the warranty, which covers a failed first sign-in within 2 hours of purchase. Even then, you get a replacement account or a refund to your balance, depending on stock.
Can I get my money back instead?
Support gives a replacement or a refund to your balance, depending on stock. Balance refunds stay in OTPGmail and are not paid out as cash.
Does the warranty start when I first try to sign in?
No. It starts at the moment of purchase. 2 hours later the window closes, whether or not you have tried.
